Amazing - I'm now running Firefox over WiFi, Ubuntu is localised to Danish, and it's installing 119 updates from Ubuntu software update.

Everything about Gnome and Ubuntu is familiar, it's much like a mix between Windows and Mac OS X - and it fast - like REALLY fast.

The most amazing thing is the native support for Internet protocols that are everywhere.

FTP is just a server protocol, and I uploaded a plugin to my WordPress blog, can you spot it?

    Hint: try the search box...

And it gets even better - the fonts render very nicely in Firefox with the default setup, I noticed that it looks much better after I installed Ubuntu as compared to the Live CD version.

Running Vista was so cramped and impossible to read on the 12" screen of the Lenovo, with Ubuntu it's close to perfect.

sounds very nice Kim. My last experince with Ubuntu were absolutely possitive. Its a great OS, fast, easy to use and FREE.

A few killer aps and it might be the solution in the future.

So far the story ended with me going back to my trusty old PowerBook and Mac OS X, but I think it's because I have an old WiFi router, that it was too unstable on Ubuntu - and it was hurting my productivity :-(
