Apple, sort of, implemented iPhone style zoom in Safari on new MacBook, unfortunately only by mapping two-finger gesture to text size change

This feature actually scares me, since Im a self proclaimed “touchpad super user”

So good is it? Is it productive or feature candy?

Well I kinda stumbled upon it, but I like it. It's not a function you use everyday, but it's nice to know how to change the text size in a snap.

I think the idea is that you atumble upon it, the trackpad is nice, nd highly configurable, I believe that you can disable it, and I'm sure that a Mac wizard like you, Esben, could put to tremendous use

You can use it in Preview and iPhoto as well to zoom and rotate... Really useful stuff when combined with the control-two-finger-zoom-function.

hm so its only in a couple of (cocoa) apps, or is it systemwide implantation?

It's system-wide, but I guess it needs to be implemented from the developers.. I've been looking for a way to get rid of it in Safari, as I keep turning my text size up or down accidently..
